Yvonne Lyon & Boo Hewerdine just released their mesmerizing tune compilation 'Things Found In Books' and here's everything I loved from it! Taking you to Culzean Castle's second-hand bookshop, find yourself amused by the greatest stories of all time! An album written in response to the notice hanging in the store that celebrates the ordinary lives of the residents living on the Scottish coast, this album is crafted with extra care and is bound to inspire you! Without any further ado, let's dive right into it!

A tasteful cluster of tunes, instruments and stories, 'Things Found in Books' feels like a sonic version of the fairy tales we read as a kid only you fall in love with them all over again!

Starting, you completely get a sense of the magic that this album beholds when you give the track 'The Things You Find in Books' a listen! Soothing, emotive and almost what feels like a lullaby, this feels like a fairytale come alive.

Another melody that feels like it's brushed golden is the delightful 'Viennese Horses'. What feels like a beautiful backdrop from a Barbie movie, this is short, sweet and almost makes you live those sceneries from story books. I also loved the surreal imagery of 'Down by The Harbour', where almost everything from nature is romanticized as if it all resides in one's friendly neighborhood.

A melody that sets itself apart due to its divine piano notes, 'A Letter from the King' is a story narration that takes you back in time as the kingdom celebrates an auspicious triumph. In this melody, one gets to not only experience but live in the setting of bliss.

Last but not the least, I think 'Hieroglyphics' is a number that stood out the most for me. Without saying a word, this aptly depicts the flavors and setting of an ancient marketplace, by not only noting the tiny and big details but also having divine ebbs and flows with an enchanting fusion of guitar and flute. With this we sum up all the melodies that I will be adding to my playlist! What about you? let us know in the comments!
