Washington-based three-piece band Lud Roes is turning everyone's heads with their unique heavy prog rock sound. Originally a duo comprising of two women, Ella G and Avery Petrucci joined hands with drummer Robzie Trulove as their drummer and adopted the name “Lud Roes”. Since Robzie’s inclusion in the band, the trio has been rocking the underworld music scene in DC and inspiring other marginalised musicians to come up with the help of a non-profit called This Could Go Boom, where Robizie is a member of the board.
LUD ROES
Starting the song with meticulously struck guitar chords and pounding drums, the track offers mean, distorted and dirty riffs with a rhythm that makes you want to headbang and groove.
Their newest release ‘Waiting for B’ is the first track off their album Dear IV. Starting the song with meticulously struck guitar chords and pounding drums, the track offers mean, distorted and dirty riffs with a rhythm that makes you want to headbang and groove. The moody and eerie Ish vocals add another layer of texture to the track, reminding you of the 70s, 80s and 90s when music was produced by people playing instruments and not someone behind a computer. Honestly, I love their work and firmly believe the world needs to recognise these ladies who are absolutely killing it.
