A veteran artist and longtime promoter of the underground music scene in Australia for over 20 years, Ivan Bullock has had quite a journey. A classically trained violinist, Ivan predominantly focused on pursuing the violin during his teen years, which he had to forgo due to an injury. In the late 1990s, Ivan moved to Tokyo, where the isolation, stress and managing life inspired him to learn new instruments and unleash a creative side.
Upon gaining recognition by 2001, the following years were nothing short of success. Ivan and his group, Mystral Tide’s, played at various festivals in Europe, Japan and Australia. As they became more prominent, the group was featured in multiple publications like New Empire Magazine and Mick Mercer’s book - 21st Century Goth, to name a few.

This society aimed to provide a community for various artists who could share their musical talents and interact with well-established members of the underground music scene via a digital medium.
It was in 2003 when Ivan and the Mystral Tide’s came to Australia. Later, Ivan and his fellow artist Cassandra's Myth started recruiting independent artists and working towards a series of live events later known as ‘Enzyme’. After the massive response they received for their efforts, DEMUS (dark electronic music underground society) was born. This society aimed to provide a community for various artists who could share their musical talents and interact with well-established members of the underground music scene via a digital medium. After the success of DEMUS, an online store promoting other underground artists' music called Dark Stereo was launched.
Mystral Tide’s released their last work in 2009 when Ivan announced that all the new music would come under the new title of MINORARC. After shifting from classically inspired and predominantly gothic electronic music, Ivan dipped his toes in metal-centric music with the 2010 self-titled debut album.
With the latest release of a full-length album - Inclusions, an instrumental project incorporating elements of modern metal, djent, progressive rock and nu-metal sounds, the album invites the listener to craft and depict a dream-like state and distortions in their perceptions. When listening to the songs, there is a sense of calm and quiet that gives the listener a sense of floating through time and space and then BAM! The heavy guitars and pounding drums enter, giving the elixir of life you never knew you needed! The use of classical piano, orchestral pads, and acoustic guitar gives the tracks an eerie vibe interwoven with musical aspects and inspirations from metal.
