Repped by the late Julee Cruise, Sacha stands as an adored musical identity, who's known by the adjectives 'angel', 'alien and a 'musical extraordinaire'. Drama, climax, tragedy, thrill and mystery, all wrapped into the majestic blankets of jazz, this is exactly what 'Casino Wilderness Period' is.

This kaleidoscopic journey of the 'Casino Wilderness Period', which includes a total of 8 tracks, starts with the riling narratives of 'Arranging Flowers'! A scenic depiction capturing angst, frustration, and the ups and downs of a story, it feels like going through the waves of a journey, no matter how massive or slight they are. 'Waves' begins to soothe the heavy-ridden narratives with its grooves and upbeat synths. This is a pacifying track, infused with calming lo-fi, that makes it easier for everyone to indulge in the sonic world of interpretation and imagination.

Then we arrive at the sonic scapes of 'Thanks'. A track that feels like a prayer, this portrays a continuum of narratives, and blesses us with the dreary art of storytelling by also including elements like piano into the album.'Neptune in the Snow' is a beautiful jazz liberation moment that speaks volumes about escapism. A track instilling a feeling of immediate action in the ongoing circumstance, this is an insanely majestic forging of jazz.

'Margaret', is an ode to a dear friend who's not in this world anymore, and the thoughts relating to her that ran through Sacha's mind on a loop. It speaks volumes about the dimmed nostalgia and the lost touch that he still craves, and highlights how just her lost presence is making him drown in depth. An aha moment of disco-meets-country, Margaret plushes a distilled image of belongingness. Then we arrive at the thematic reverberations of 'Fibreglass'. A track about the flowing like the water into the moment, a track that makes room for cinematic showstoppers, this is the dramatic, cinematic and power-packed thrill in a nutshell as it should be. Then we arrive at one of the many standouts from the album, 'Telepathy'. This track blends Mullin's auroric R&B flair with the talented Vinar's elastic jazz improvisations, all with Cullen's solidly grounded support.

Last but not least, there couldn't be any other perfect track to end this melodic journey then 'Window Out', that splashes a shade of darkness into the album and speaks about how the entire window is covered with rain. With Nahadr's ghostly whistles and tones blending with ease into the realms of Dionne Warwick and Burt Bacharach, this solely does just to this sonic masterpiece.
