Rising from Vancouver, Post Death Soundtrack is a psychedelic doom grunge duo crafting apocalyptic and dynamic sounds that stand between the grounds of surrealist absurdity and earworm familiarity. Taming the beast of their inner selves, the duo has flawless control over the grunge and punk domain of the music world. Making their debut in 2008, Post Death Soundtrack has released their fourth full-length album this year which is sure to give you goosebumps. Notably, each of their previous albums has shown a remarkable amount of growth in their sense of sound.

This fresh 'doom grunge' approach is driven by those who first inspired them – Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Nirvana, and The Stooges, as well as artists who are redefining heavy music for a new age – Russian Circles, Windhand, Queens of the Stone Age and YOB. Oozy riffs, hardcore fury, compelling grooves, and empyrean ambiance work parallelly to conjure a singular affecting vision.

Brimming with the picturesque of harsh realities and a sense of fate, 'Veil Lifter' is a montage of dark snapshots and sounds like blurry photographs.

Post Death Soundtrack's fourth full-length album 'Veil Lifter' is an exemplary creation by the duo Jon Ireson and Stephen Moore filled with thundering beats, psychedelic rhythms, and philosophical lyricism. This album has been one of the many dream creations the artists have visualized and is deeply close to their hearts.

"The title is taken from an Eastern philosophy-inspired phrase, "lifting the veil of ignorance". The name points to the intrinsic beyond the countless external forms and ideas that mask it. Shamanic visions, shadowy dreamscapes, a scorched Earth, and a relentless drive for solace lead the protagonist to retreat to the icy waters underground before facing the mountain of renewal and unbecoming," states the artist expressing the story and concepts behind the making of this otherworldly album.

" "Veil Lifter" is dedicated to the memory of my hero and wonderful Father, Ted George Moore, who I know would be proud of what we've created," says Steve about the inspiration for this bizarrely fantastic project.

Starting with a soft eerie of an intro, the album proceeds into a cave of heavy metaphorical and dreamy language paired with euphonical and phantasmagorical tunes, creating an enigmatic and ethereal experience for the listeners.
